MHSF Staff contributes to the community, after hours.
Housing insecurity is in every community across the nation and has affected more than half of the adult poplulation at some time in their lives, New Orleans is no exception.
Ann Clayton Chamberlain, VP, Methodist Health System Foundation (MHSF) and team leader for the 2018 Well Built, New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity Women Build along with Heather Surcouf, DNP, MHSF's School Based Health Center Manager, and a team of strong and enthusiastic women came together with other teams from across the city to support the community of women building for women.
The women who volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for the Women Build week contribute time, talent and a day off to help secure a safe environment for families and communities to thrive. The Well-Built team helped to construct two homes for two deserving young women in an accelerated build on Egania St., in the Lower Ninth Ward. In support of its community service iniative, MHSF made a financial contribution to the Habitat for Humanity-Women Build, 2018 Well Built team.
MHSF is proud of its work to support our community and proud of our employees that support those efforts.
