CHS Health Center
Chalmette High School, School Based Health Center (CHS, SBHC) is a full service health center that serves the needs of Chalmette High School students. The SBHC team of professionals includes a Medical Director, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Medical Assistants and Center Coordinators.
Focused on Health
CHS, SBHC opened in August 2007 as the first school based health center in St. Bernard Parish and quickly became an integral part of the health care system in St. Bernard following Hurricane Katrina.
CHS, SBHC operates in partnership with St. Bernard Parish Schools. The center's funding is provided by Methodist Health System Foundation with oversight by the Louisiana Department of Health Bureau of Family Health, Adolescent School Health Program; School-Based Health Centers.

The health center's holiday schedule follows the Chalmette High School schedule, including being closed in the summer months.
