Throughout its history, MHSF has maintained a position of excellence as both a health care provider and integral part of the New Orleans East, St. Bernard and Gentilly communities. What started as a conversation over coffee and apple pie in 1958 at the Gentilly Methodist Church men's meeting, has turned into a Legacy Foundation that has worked tirelessly over the past 64 years to support, develop and manage health-related programs and access to services that benefit the citizens of East New Orleans and beyond.
