The 18th Ward Sports Club was created to increase youth access to sports by eliminating barriers to participation. Working with youth from ages 3-24, everyone is welcome to play regardless of gender, race, income or neighborhood.
Bastion Community of Resilience
Bastion is an intentional community in which wounded, ill, or injured veterans live alongside retired military and civilian volunteers. Every Bastion resident benefits from the experience of helping others, and this, in turn, promotes wellbeing and life satisfaction.
Bayou District Foundation (BDF) is the community quarterback organization for a group of strategic partners redeveloping and revitalizing New Orleans’ Bayou District in Gentilly. BDF has created a new mixed-income community complete with schools, recreation and support services on the site of the former St. Bernard public housing development, the surrounding Gentilly neighborhood, and adjacent City Park.

Greater New Orleans Immunization Network – The Greater New Orleans Immunization Network (GNOIN) was created in April 1998 when Christian Health Ministries partnered with several area hospitals to implement an immunization program for the children of Metropolitan New Orleans.
Trauma and Grief Center – The Trauma and Grief Center (TAG) was started by licensed clinical psychologist Dr. Julie Kaplow at Children’s Hospital of New Orleans in 2021 to address a large and growing need for trauma services offered on an outpatient basis to children 0-18.

Volunteers of America Southeast Louisiana is a health and human services agency working to build healthy communities for all people. It encourages positive development: providing services to promote healthy development of children and families through a continuum of services including mentoring, workforce development, and trauma-informed care. It also provides services for people with disabilities, older adults, and people experiencing homelessness.
